For Octobers creator of the month, we are heading to the north Devon coast to Atlantic Spirit. Their ever-growing range of gins distilled from delicious locally foraged botanicals is a big hit with our team here, especially their Thai basil! As we are all starting to think about gifts for… (we won’t mention the C word just yet, but we know you must thinking about it too) we’ve added a few extra bottles from their range, including miniatures. And after we recently visited Quinton (the man behind the gin) at his new small-batch distillery we had to share their story.
WHO?
Quinton and his wife Sadie founders of Atlantic Spirit have always had roots in North Devon – surfing, sailing and sea swimming around their local coast, generally getting out in the Atlantic ocean whenever possible.
WHY?
They are passionate about creating craft Gin’s that you will love as much as they do. Their gins come to life with foraged local botanicals, keeping the same deep connection to the environment as both Quinton and Sadie share. The Laver and Samphire are two great examples of this, carefully picked on the coast to expose the amazing flavours on the North Devon coastline.
WHAT?
Micro-batch gin distilled on the Atlantic coast with locally foraged ingredients. Handcrafted artisan gin, distilled in an alembic copper still with only 240 bottles per batch.
WHERE?
Atlantic spirit is based near Bideford on the north Devon coast.
