Creator of the month: Tors Vodka

Tors Vodka

Tors Vodka: English Vodka Lovingly Crafted In The Heart Of Devon.

First up in our new ‘Creator of the month’ series is the seriously smooth Tors Vodka. We’ve been big fans of theirs for the last few years and they were one of the very first local products on our shelves back in our old little shop. (Do you remember visiting our little room of a shop before? How times change!) So who’s behind the bottle? And why make vodka on Dartmoor?

Who?

Tors Vodka was created by childhood friends Edward and Jonathan, who grew up together in the heart of Devon, England.

Why?

“The idea and ambition for TORS was born whilst watching one of my favourite TV shows about how to make a certain type of outback American whisky. I loved their initiative, the process and their excitement and had the sudden thought that I could do the same. I’ve always had a love for fine spirits and a passion for the industry and while the time scales around whisky production was something that I didn’t have an appetite for, my love for vodka shined through.”

What?

Just like the granite hilltops that it’s named after, TORS Vodka stands alone in its field. Pure Dartmoor spring water is blended with British soft winter wheat spirit to create a Vodka like no other. Great care is taken to polish their spirit; a process which takes up to three months, to create their wonderfully smooth tasting Vodka. They also now do a delicious range of cocktail Liqueurs too!

Where?

Crafted in micro-batches near Okehampton in the foothills of the Dartmoor National Park.
