Come join us on Sunday 28th April for our next ‘Live in the vines’. We will be welcoming Jonah Hitchens who will be ‘keeping it funky’ as he joins us for his first Live In The Vines. We will also be serving our sharing platters, plus nibbles + drinks from across Devon to enjoy. Join us in the kitchen overlooking Dartmoor with family and friends and a glass of wine in hand, the perfect way to top off the weekend.
Jonah Hitchens
Bristol based Jonah Hitchens blends soul, funk, psychedelia and jazz into a single exhilarating mash up. If Curtis Mayfield jammed with Jimi Hendrix it might sound just like this. He cites influences as diverse as Bill Withers, Curtis Mayfield, Parliament, Gil Scott Heron, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. If you’re ready for some musical time travel – at 100mph – then this is the gig for you!
Still only 27, Jonah studied jazz at Trinity Laban in London. Its former students include Fela Kuti, Joe Armon-Jones and Moses Boyd. He is a talented guitarist, singer and lyricist. As something of a musical wild child, his stage performances are dynamic, exciting and unpredictable!
Jonah will be performing two 45 minutes sets with us on Sunday 28th April starting from 2:30pm.
Please note that we will stop serving our full lunch menu from 2pm but we will be serving a range of Devon platters, nibbles + drinks all afternoon. As the weather is still changeable we plan to hold the event inside.
£2.50pp – To enable us to keep bringing talented musicians to the vines we are introducing a small £2.50pp entry fee for our “Live in the vines” events (Payable when you book a table and this secures the table for the full afternoon)
Booking is recommended – Reserve a table for the afternoon
