A bronze at the WineGB 2020 awards… not bad going for our first entry into the national competition. We couldn’t be more pleased to see our Madeleine Angevine proudly return with a shiny new accessory, as well as seeing our name next to so many other great vineyards from across the UK. The awards were judged by the wonderful Oz Clarke MBE, Master of Wine Susie Barrie and wine buyer at Corney & Barrow Rebecca Palmer. They tasted through a record 281 wines over 5 days at Ashling Park estate and it was great to hear Susie say “It was particularly pleasing to see new producers competing alongside long-established ones, proving that the UK is an ever-growing and hugely exciting region to watch”. We are so proud to be a part of such a diverse and growing industry.
Our Madeleine Angevine 2018 was blessed with months of scorching sunshine that really left its mark on the vintage. Filling your glass with fruity overtones of melon, apple and a new touch of gooseberry. It’s always exciting to see the results of the year in the vines in the bottle and 2018 was rather special. We are so pleased to see it gaining recognition on a national level.
