We’ve been named best café in Devon, again. as well as small visitor attraction of the year and this years’ Winner of Winners
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have walked away with another haul of beautiful Dartington Glass trophies from the 23/24 Devon Tourism Awards. Following our success in last year’s awards, we have bagged ourselves three new shiny trophies.
Just over three years since we swung open the doors to our new kitchen, shop and winery we are now the proud recipient of another gold award for best café/tearoom in Devon. We also entered a new category this year – small visitor attraction of the year – walking away with our second gold award of the evening.
The judges were not finished with us just yet, as Mike and Sarah took to the stage to be awarded the 23/24 Winner of winners award at the Riviera Centre in Torquay.
When we entered the awards process last year, we were quietly hopeful but as first-timers slightly unaware of how things work. We were over the moon to walk away with awards last year and to do even better this year is just beyond words.
To be able to say we won gold for best café in Devon, again is just huge for us. Our wonderful team has worked so hard diving into 2023 head first and we are so proud.
Taking home a gold award for the small visitor attraction of the year award is also fantastic news. Our popular vineyard tour and tastings have been full of smiling visitors this year and Tom, head wine wizard, has loved showing everyone around the vines in what has been a record year, harvesting over 20 tonnes of fruit. From day one we grew our passion for the vines and our small part in the evolution of the story of English wine. Now, we not only produce the fruit, but create the wine that we serve each day from the kitchen in our new and shiny winery. You can see this process for yourselves on one of our vineyard and winery tours, the flagship element to the experience of joining us here at the vineyard.
We of course, owe a huge thanks and unlimited amount of praise for our wonderful team who make this all possible. Every single member of our smiley, passionate and creative team works their socks off to bring each visitor the best experience possible and I think we can safely say, they have well and truly achieved that!

Most of all we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has visited us over the first few years of our story. To everyone who visited us for a tour, to buy a bottle (or two) or who have joined us for a bite to eat in our now multi-award-winning café.
