£29.90 – £89.70
Available to preorder (shipping + collection from Wed 21st June) – Can’t decide or stocking up? Bring the full taste of our vineyard home with our mixed case, featuring our deliciously delicate Madeleine Angevine and summer-ready Rondo rosé.
Pale in colour, off-dry and gloriously fruity, our Madeleine Angevine is a treat for your tastebuds. As each bottle is so light and refreshing we recommend serving perfectly chilled (4°C) to accompany chicken dishes, fresh Devon seafood or pasta.
In contrast, bold in colour and flavour our Rondo rosé serves up delicious hints of strawberry and raspberry with zingy cranberries and cherries to finish. Why not sit back and relax with a chilled glass (4°C) in hand or pair with delicate meats such as duck, lamb and fresh Devon seafood. The finishing touch to a BBQ or summer evening in the garden.
2021 was an exciting and progressive year for us. Not only did we jump into our second vintage with renewed passion but we also put our bougies to the test during a trying period of frosty nights. By protecting the vines against mother nature, we managed to not only save what was to become a great crop but also give the vines a much-needed pick-me-up after a turbulent few years. The rest of the season was a great one. Not as sunny as 2020’s scorcher but equally as impressive and more than enough to develop this second vintage grown and produced on-site.
After tasting a bottle, or two (such a chore) we fell head over heels for the dry, crisp and fruity taste of the Madeleine Angevine. Originally found in The Loire Valley in France, 3,500 vines now call our patch on the edge of Dartmoor home. They love our cooler climate making for a truly special glass.
We planted our first 500 Rondo (originally from Germany) back in 2012 as a bit of a test next to our Madeleine Angevine. It paid off, the vines love it with us at Alder and grow like crazy! (fun pruning them tho). Our rosé has been such a hit that we now have over 1,000 vines and are looking to expand again, seems everyone wants a bottle of sunshine.
‘Hands down the best English wine I’ve tried (which is a lot!?) and lovely people to boot’

We love wine here at Alder Vineyard but it’s useful to remember that wine is of course an alcoholic product. Whilst wine can be enjoyed in moderation, it is important to seek help and advice if you think you, or a loved one is drinking too much.
You must be 18 or over to purchase wine and other alcoholic products.
Our Kitchen is well stocked with drinks from across Devon and beyond and proudly includes several non-alcoholic options. This includes non-alcoholic beers, gin-alternatives, mocktails and of course, soft drinks.
If you think you, or a loved one may need help and support due to alcohol misuse, please use the links below to find incredibly useful charities and resources that can help you.
We are proudly committed to protecting our environment and the planet in any way we possibly can. Our ethical and sustainable practices are at the heart of what we do here.

Without doubt one of the best English wine I have tasted. The Rose is silky and fresh and slips down very nicely on a sunny day or indeed a rainy one! The white has been a long standing favourite of mine and continues to improve year on year.
I am extremely lucky to have Alder as my local vineyard. Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful they continue to expand and develop their wine and the services they offer and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next.
